Q

Please tell me about the 9-step parts former.

A

We have several 9-stage parts formers, which are rare in Japan.
Generally speaking, most parts formers are 5-stage or 6-stage formers, and the more stages they have, the rarer they become.
The more the number of stages, the more rare it becomes. 9-stage parts formers are very rare, even among companies that specialize in cold forging.

The reason why we have a 9-stage parts former is to differentiate ourselves by processing parts with more "difficult" and "complex" shapes.
However, having a multi-stage parts former does not necessarily mean that complex shapes can be produced.

To maximize the capabilities of a parts former, it is essential to have the technical capability to devise the molding process and the ability to design and manufacture the molds to realize it. We have this know-how completely in-house and are able to provide one-stop solutions to our customers' problems.

Of course, molding with a part former with a large number of steps will result in higher unit costs due to the increased number of molds required. Therefore, it can be said that this machine is suited for projects that are "only possible by cutting" or "only possible by cutting + cold forging at other companies," and for projects that require a change in production method, replacing them with cutting-less processes.

We have not only 9-stage parts formers, but also 8-, 7-, and 6-stage cold forging machines and form rolling machines (more than 100 units in total), which can be flexibly combined according to the shape of the product for efficient and efficient processing.
